About the Property
This 2000+sf, 4BR, 2.5BA 1890's Victorian grande dame is located on Paso's most prestigious street, Vine, on a corner lot. Just 7 blocks to the City Park, the Fairgrounds and easy access to Routes 101 and 46 East, this it the perfect location to discover all that downtown and the Paso Robles Wine Region has to offer. This jewel has kept all of its original charm....10 foot ceilings, crystal chandeliers and (restored) original hardwood floors... but updated with modern day amenities...air conditioning, and high-end kitchen and bathrooms.
4 bedrooms (with an additional roll-away twin bed) allow for 8 guests comfortably. Bedroom one is on the main floor. It boasts a 4-poster king bed, spacious armoire, and a desk area to apply make-up or do a bit of work. Bedroom two, also on the main floor, features a king bed and gorgeous headboard. These two bedrooms share a beautiful Jack and Jill bath. The bath had been updated with dual shower heads, classic carrara marble counters and floors along with chrome hardware. The third and fourth bedroom are both upstairs. Bedroom three features a king bed, also with a desk or make-up area. Bedroom four has a queen bed, a walk in closet and a seating area perfect for reading a classic novel under the skylight. These two bedrooms share the bathroom upstairs which is updated with classic subway white tiles and corner sink and tile floors. The rollaway bed can be rolled into bedroom three or set up on the upstairs landing.
The newly updated kitchen is equipped with all the essentials to whip up the perfect meal to pair with a fabulous Paso Robles wine. The Thermador six-burner gas oven/stove combination, farmhouse sink, new stainless steel appliances and a plethora of cook's tools make cooking a pleasurable art.
The dining room had a perfect pine farm table with two leaves and seating for 8.
The living room has a sink-in comfortable couch along with 4 side chairs and a 45" TV (equipped with cable and Netflix).
But why stay inside when a fantastic private yard beckons you? The professionally manicured backyard is an entertainer's playground. Enjoy throwing some grass-fed steaks on the oversized BBQ and dine al fresco on the large wooden table with seating for 8.
We provide personal amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, paper products, kitchen necessities like dishwashing detergent, dishwasher soap and trash bags. There are plenty of linens and towels. Complimentary laundry facilities and detergent are in the laundry room. The kitchen is also stocked with plenty of stapes: olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, condiments, and plenty of spices. There is dinner service for 12 as well as plenty of serving necessities.
Being located on Vine Street in Paso has its benefits. During the Holiday Season, don't miss the VIne Street Victorian Christmas Parade. This annual event showcases beautiful Victorians (between 8th and 20th streets) all decked out for the Holidays. Join thousands stroll in festive garb as they indulge in the food, music, and illuminated delights. This location is also just two blocks from the (soon to be opened) Paso Market Walk which will be a magnet for food and wine lovers and local culture of Paso Robles.

There are endless options to play until your heart's content. And now the latest attraction in Paso is Sensorio, Bruce Munro's Field of Lights.

Lovely house with historic charm in a nice, walkable neighborhood. Kitchen is very well-stocked! Comfortable beds, great showers in the baths—all sparkling clean. Pleasant outdoor space, too. The house is in a good location—about a 15 minute walk from downtown and just a few short blocks to Spring St food options including coffee, gelato, beer, ramen, and more.

Great house, perfectly decorated with all the amenities needed for a few days touring Paso wineries. We made the short trip downtown for coffee in the morning and dinner in the evenings most days and slept wonderfully in the beds. Thanks for a superb trip!

This house was perfect for our girls weekend away! We wanted to stay in a house, but were having a tough time finding a 4 bedroom place that was walking distance to town. This fit the bill perfectly! Charming interior, welcoming backyard, kitchen with plenty of cookware - we were super happy & would definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful property. Built in 1890, it still appears to have some of the original leaded glass. Beautifully appointed with 4 spacious bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Also a great backyard perfect for a little late afternoon wine and cheese before walking into town for dinner. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home, top to bottom. Kitchen was a stand out, had everything we needed to cook meals. The backyard is lovely as well. It was a great place to sit in the evenings and enjoy wine and the afternoon Paso breeze. Excellent location if you want to explore downtown Paso. 2 minute drive to restaurants and shops. If it’s cool enough you could absolutely walk it.

Charm of older house with modern upgraded kitchen and baths. Narrow stairway to 2nd floor bedrooms was challenging for our 70 yr old guest so we gave them the downstairs master and took the 2nd floor bedroom.

We stayed at this property over the weekend, with two other couples . The house it absolutely gorgeous, and is hands down the most spacious property that we have stayed in so close to downtown. The decor is tasteful and the layout of the house is really conducive to spending time eating, drinking and relaxing with friends and family. Close enough to downtown to walk. The host was very helpful and responded quickly. If you have a larger group, look no further!

We absolutely loved this house and stayed here for my mom's 60th birthday weekend. The house is a short 10-15 minute walk to the main downtown area in Paso and is in a cute neighborhood. Everything about the house is super cute with old Victorian touches, but also super modern, especially the amazing kitchen. One of the main attractions that drew us to book this house was the large backyard area with firepit, bbq, and grass. We had so much fun hanging out back there playing cornhole on the grass and sitting by the fire at night. Property manager was super responsive and accommodating of all needs. Will definitely be staying here again!

“This was the perfect place for an eight person group trip to Paso! We had a very comfortable weekend stay. The home is beautiful (pictures really don't even do it justice), spotless, and in a great location. We were able to walk to downtown Paso, which was fantastic. Parking is easy, the house has all the touches and supplies you'd need, and the neighborhood is lovely and quiet. We really loved our stay and will definitely be back!”

The house is as advertised from a location, appearance, space and amenities point of view. Kathy provided great communication on check in and any matter required. The only issue we had was that a fire pit was featured in overview and it was not installed at this time. As the evening temp hits 40 degrees this time of year, we were upset that sitting outside enjoying some wine around a fire pit was not an option. I believe she is working to rectify the matter.

On the Vine is an amazing historical home that has been updated with all the finest touches. The house was immaculate, high end appliances, decorated beautifully but still felt like a home. The backyard was perfect and we would have spent more time outside if the air quality hadn’t been so poor (a number of fires were raging all over the state of CA at the time of our stay). Location was perfect. A nice walk to downtown and only a few blocks from our friend’s tasting room (Bushong Vintage Company). We will definitely want to rent this house again next time we visit Paso!

JULY 2020
The place is great, with four bedrooms and two and half baths. It was sparkling clean, and the kitchen had a full complement of devices. I had actually brought some things (baking dish, olive oil, coffee grinder) that were at the location. Kathleen was also fantastic, as there was an issue with the air conditioner the first night, and she had a technician out there immediately to fix it. Thanks for a great visit.

“This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay, the perfect home base for exploring Paso. We loved being able to walk to so many restaurants, tasting rooms, and shops. Very comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen added to the enjoyment. May 2019
This house was perfect for a getaway wine weekend. We were a group of 3 couples, and could have easily fit a 4th couple as there are 4 separate bedrooms. We enjoyed the gas grill, outdoor dining table, and fire pit one night, and the proximity to downtown was great for dinner on the second night. Overall, great house, nicely decorated, good location - would definitely recommend!

April 2019
This is the perfect little old house to enjoy Paso from. Things we loved: - Firepit - Walking distance to Coffee, Restaurants, Stores, etc. - Ample Parking - Awesome backyard and landscaping (on a corner, so has less neighbors, giving a little more privacy to the backyard) - New/fancy feeling kitchen - New bathroom Things we'd improve: - Can't really think of much for the price! If I came up with something here, it'd be nit-picking for the sake of this list...

April 2019
This house was phenomenal! Beds were comfortable, plenty of seating everywhere and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The backyard was private and beautiful and was a great place to end a day. The decor in the house was quirky with quite a few conversation pieces. Had a great time and will definitely go back. Perfect wine weekend house.

February 2019
This house was absolutely gorgeous and much better than the pictures! We had a party of 8, and didn't want to leave the house! It was absolutely perfect for entertaining as the house had everything you could ever need. It really felt like we were in our own home, as they had an abundance of everyday common items that made hosting even easier. We enjoyed the bbq pit in the backyard, along with the fire pit. There was lots of space and privacy in the backyard to entertain, similar to the rest of the house. The amenities and comfort within the house itself were jaw dropping as everything was meticulously thought-out and detailed. Even the toilet paper was amazing! My only complaint was that we had to leave!!
