This open concept ranch style home has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open concept great room with open-beamed vaulted ceilings and a great outdoor space on multiple deck levels. It's adorned with elegant furnishings, comfortable seating, and entertainment areas, nestled among the trees with views of the downtown West Village. It’s the perfect getaway for 2 couples, a small family, or a girls’ wine and spa-themed weekend away.
The master en suite features a queen bed with a wooden headboard. The en suite bath has a single vanity and a walk-in tiled shower with classic Carrera marble. Bedroom 2 also has a queen bed and a side chair. Both are light-filled rooms among the treetops. Bathroom 2 has a single vanity and a walk-in shower. It can be used by bedroom 2 guests and act as the general guest bath. The sofa in the living area also pulls out to a queen sofa for the 2 extra guests.
Walk through the custom gated yard into the entry gardens. You have just entered paradise in Cambria. Meander your way up to the French doors either by the staircase or winding stone path. Enjoy the perfectly manicured gardens of native pines, succulents, and green vegetation along the way up. Atop the awning-covered landing you’ve arrived at the outdoor living room and entry into the home. Walk into the large, light-filled great room and be wowed by the expansive open-beam vaulted ceiling.
To the left is the living area with a sofa for 2-3 along with two leather recliners. Relax and enjoy some of your favorite TV shows on the 55” SmartTV. The TV is equipped with Spectrum basic cable along with Netflix and Hulu. Don’t forget your Netflix or Prime account numbers so you can stream movies and other favorite entertainment.
The living room is open to the dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen has a large quartz peninsula with seating for 4. The U-shaped kitchen is fully updated with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, a 4-burner stovetop, a side-by-size fridge, microwave oven and dishwasher. It’s equipped with all the cooking necessities you’ll need to whip up some gourmet meals.
The dining area, adjacent to the kitchen, has a large counter-height table on wheels with seating for 4.
You can leave it where it is or move it around for more space.
Off the dining area, through the French doors, is the “outdoor living room” This awning-covered deck is perfect for sipping wine or enjoying some appetizers before dinner. Two swivel, wicker rocking chairs make the relaxing even more enjoyable.
On the lower levels of the exterior decks are a dining table with bench seating for 6 for dining al fresco. There is also a fire pit with plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy the evening air.
We provide personal amenities including soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, paper products, kitchen necessities such as dish soap and trash bags. There are plenty of linens and bath towels. Laundry facilities and detergent are both in laundry areas. The kitchen is also stocked with the essential staples: coffee, tea, olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and spices. There is dinner service for 8 as well as plenty of serving necessities.
This home is just a 2-minute drive or a peaceful 15-minute walk down winding tree-lined streets to the West Village in downtown Cambria where there are coffee shops, wine-tasting rooms, bars, restaurants, great local shops, and a craft brewery or two. Fiscalini Ranch Perserve is also just a few blocks from the house. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, ocean air and light hiking.
Cookie Crock Market, the nearest grocer, is located 5 minutes away on Main Street. Also close by is Old Cambria Market Place, Cambria General Store, Soto’s True Earth Market and Linn’s Gourmet Goods. There are dozens of great restaurants in both East & West Village. And don’t forget to check out the Sea Chest Oyster Bar (get there early, there’s always a line).

Vacation Rental Agreement
We, the Renters (also referred to as “Tenants” and “Guests”) agree to the following:
1) PAYMENT DUE – All rental monies are due according to the payment schedule terms disclosed through the portal in which the home was booked. (ie. AirBnB, VRBO, DIGS Vacation Rentals, etc.)
2) CANCELATIONS:
CANCELATION 60 days before check-in day, Renters will receive a 100% refund including all fees.
CANCELATION 31-59 days before check-in, Renters will receive a 50% REFUND in the amount paid less any travel insurance fee, booking fees or CC fees of 3.5%.
CANCELLATION 30 DAYS or LESS before your check–in date, Renters will forfeit the total rental. The total rental includes all charges on the paid-in-full invoice. Renters may mitigate this loss by purchasing Travel Insurance or Cancel for Any Reason insurance offer by from third party providers.
EARLY DEPARTURE – There are no refunds for early departures.
3) STORMS, EARTHQUAKES, PANDEMICS, ACTS OF GOD – There are no refunds for storms, earthquakes, pandemics or any acts of God, even if a mandatory evacuation or lockdown is ordered. (Renter may obtain 3rd party renters protection or travel insurance. Renter assumes the risk.) Third Party Rental Insurance is available through Safely Travel Insurance. 4) ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE INSURANCE – Renters will be completely responsible for any and all damages to the home or property caused by Renters, or Renter’s guests, whether accidental or due to Renter’ negligence. Guest are required to purchase Property Damage Protection (PDP) Insurance through SafelyStay, Inc.
5) TRUST AND SAFETY: The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Property Damage Protection (PDP)Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $1,000,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury. Complete terms regarding the Trust and Safety coverage can be found at safely.com/DigsVacationRentals. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible or minimum claim amount will be the responsibility of the Guest, and Digs Vacation Rentals will process using the form of payment on file for Guest. The PDP Fee is as follows: $33/night, Coverage excludes stays over 29 nights.
6) Renters understand that Renters are responsible for the damage beyond the coverage provided by the PDP. Renters are also responsible for damage that would have been covered by the PDP if Renters fail to advise the Owner or Property Manager of the damage and provide the necessary information that would allow the Owner to file a claim against the policy.
7) GUEST VERIFICATION: I give permission to SafelyStay, Inc., to verify my identity, and check criminal databases in order to confirm my reservation. A failed background check will result in an automatic cancelation of your reservation. Complete terms regarding Safely’s guest verification can be found at www.safely.com/terms. 8) CONDITION OF PROPERTY – Owners have, to the best of their ability, given an accurate description of the property and its condition. Guest understands that it is considered as reserved “sight unseen.” Our cleaning staff will have cleaned it before your occupancy. All electrical, plumbing and appliances should be in working order. The failures of operation of certain extra amenities, such as TVs, cable, games, or the Internet and WiFi service are not a basis for any discount or refund. Owner will make every effort to have these items repaired should the not work during your stay, but they do not guarantee that they will be repaired during Renters occupancy. When you arrive, if you find that the house is not been cleaned to normal standards, please notify the Property Manager immediately. We will do our best to have tradesmen attend to the problems but may not be able to fix everything over holidays and weekends. Under no circumstances will any of the rental money be refunded or returned because of the condition of the house. The Renter agrees to hold the Owner and Property Manager harmless from any liability for the condition of the house. Due to the nature of beach or pool properties, the sand, stairs, decks and concrete are not always stable. Use at your own risk.
9) CLEANING and REPAIRS – All homes have cleaning added in the total rent. Please note that cleaning does NOT include dishes and cooking utensils. If additional cleaning is required after you leave, it will be charge to your credit card. Renter agrees to keep the house, furniture, furnishings in good order. Removing, adding or changing furniture without Owner’s written approval shall be deemed a material breach of the Rental Agreement, and is strictly prohibited. Renter is responsible for cost of replacement of any damage to furniture or premises and replacement of missing items. Under no circumstances can any furnishings or linen be taken outside onto the beach with the exception of these items specifically mentioned in paragraph 8.
10) ENTRY OF PREMISES – With Renter’s permission, which is hereby given, Owner or Property Manager may enter the premises during reasonable daylight houses without securing prior permission from Renter, but shall give Renter ample notice of such entry immediately prior if possible and immediately thereafter. For inventory and maintenance purposes a property management employee of the Owner may need to enter the premises. The same permission procedure applies as above. In any emergency, Owner or Owner’s servicing agents may enter the promises at any time without permission of Renter for the purposes of making repairs to alleviate such emergency. If Renter abandons or vacates premises, Owner may, at his option, terminate this agreement, re-enter the premises and remove all Renter’s property
11) BEACH TOWELS and BED LINENS– The Owner has provided beach towels. They are to be used for the beach, pool or hot tub only. Lost or accidentally taken towels will be charged at $25 per towel. Do not use white bath towels at the beach, pool or hot tub. Any unused beds will be left as found. Leave the USED beds unmade and used towels on the laundry room floor.
12) ASSUMPTION OF RISK – IF APPLICABLE: No lifeguard is on duty. Accordingly, persons using the beach, pool or hot tub, do so at their own risk and the owner assumes NO responsibility for accident or injury. No one should swim alone. Renters will hold the Owners and Property Manager harmless from any and all bodily injury and/or property damage incurred on the property arising out of Renters’ negligent acts or omissions. See disclaimer below.
13) CHILD PROOFING – Guest understands that NO special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house and accept the risk for harm to any children they allow on the property. These risks are not limited to, but include animals, fireplace, cleaning supplies in the house and plants in the house, patio or on the street, that might be poisonous if ingested.
14) FURNITURE – All furniture must be returned to its original location on Guests’ departure or an additional charge will be made.
15) MISSING ITEMS – Renters will be charge for any mission items reasonably attributable to Renters and not returned after notification. The cleaning service performs an inventory/survey of the property after each Guest departs and notifies the Owner/Property Manager of any missing items. Property Manager will notify guest in the event that items were inadvertently taken and provide guests the opportunity to return missing items.
16) USE OF SECURITY CAMERAS – Renters understand and accept that the property may be protected with outside security cameras. These cameras are used to protect the property from potential break-ins and theft. There are NO cameras in the house.
17) PERSONAL PROPERTY – Guest understands that any personal property of and used by Guest is not insured by Owner/Property Manager and they are not responsible for any lost, stolen or missing property of the Guest or property of the Guest after checkout. If property is found, Owner/Property Manager will return items left behind by Guests. The cost of shipping or returning the items is that of the Guests.
18) KEYS, CLICKERS – If any keys or garage clickers are used by the Guests and get lost, guests will incur a replacement cost of $25 for keys, $50 for clickers.
19) NO PARTIES – This is not a “party” house. The Renter must be 25 years of age to book this Vacation Rental. Any special occasions such as weddings, receptions, family reunions or increase of occupants (guests not registered on Guest List) must be disclosed at the time the reservation is made and is subject to Owner’s/Property Manager’s advanced approval. Prom parties, fraternity, sorority or bachelor parties are not allowed at any time. Adults cannot rent property on behalf of underage guests, no exceptions.
20) NON-SMOKING – This is a NON-smoking vacation rental. Smoking is absolutely prohibited on the entire premises, both within the house and on the property grounds. This includes smoking cigarettes, cigars, pipes or any other smoking device. Evidence of smoking such as the smell of cigarettes or cigars inside the home by the cleaning crew is sufficient basis to charge the renter for smoke cleanup and removal from carpeting, AC ducts and Filters, furniture and draperies. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the full security deposit and damage liability of up to $2,500 for any discovered damage to furniture or odors.
21) NO PETS- Absolutely NO pets are allowed at this property at any time. If an unauthorized pet is on the premises, the guest will be assessed a fine, and will be asked to leave immediately. Damage or cleaning attributable to pets shall be the responsibility of the guest. If you have a service animal, please notify the property manager in advance of your stay.
22) MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - The maximum occupancy for this home is 6 people. Please adhere to this rule. If there are more people than allowed to sleep in this home, you will be fined an additional fee of $250 per additional person. Infants under the age of 2 are not counted.
23) PARKING – Parking is limited to 2 vehicles on the property.
24) SUBLETTING – Guest is not authorized to let or sublet all or any part of the premises nor assign the lease or any interest in it without the prior written consent of the Owner/Property Manager.
25) CHECK-IN & CHECKOUT – Check-in is at 4PM and checkout is at 11AM. A late checkout is subject to extra rental charges at the rate of $100/hour after a 30-minute grace period. Guests may arrange for an additional night in advance to avoid any late checkout fees. Extras nights are charged at the daily rate and may be granted if available. Late check-out or early check-in must be arranged with the Property Manager in advance to avoid any late checkout fees. Please checkout promptly, the cleaning crews have a very short time window to prepare the home for the new guests.
26) CHECKOUT PROCEDURES – Renters are responsible to complete the checkout procedure provided in the Red Welcome Book.
27) ATTORNEYS FEE/DEFAULT – If any legal action or proceeding (including defaults, non-payments, etc.) arising out of or related to the Rental Agreement is brought by either party to this Rental Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to receive from the other party, in addition to all other relief that may be granted, the reasonable attorney’s fees, costs and expenses incurred in the acting or proceeding by the prevailing party.
28) INDEMNIFICATION – Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Owner/Property Manager for any liability arising before termination of this Rental Agreement for personal injuries or property damage caused by the negligent, willful or intentional conduct of Guest(s). This indemnification agreement does not waive Owner’s/Property Manager’s duty of care to prevent personal injury or property damage when that duty is imposed by law.
29) PRIOR AGREEMENTS – No prior agreement or understanding not contained in writing herein shall be effective. Furthermore, Owner, other than what is specifically written and set forth herein, makes no other or further representation regarding the nature, character and quality of the premises to be rented, and no representation shall be deemed to exist or be material unless and until it is reduced in writing only, and must be signed by the parties in interest at the time of the modification. It constitutes the entire agreement of the parties. If any provision in the agreement held by any court to be invalid, void or unenforceable the remaining provisions shall nevertheless continue in full force.
30) FORUM SELECTION, JURISDICTION, LAW AND VENUE – The parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the Superior Court of California, County of San Luis Obispo for the resolution of all disputes arising under this Agreement. The sole and exclusive venue (i.e. Place where lawsuit may be filed) for any legal proceedings shall be in the County of San Luis Obispo, California. Guest expressly waives any other right or privilege with respect to the election of venue or court (ie. State or Federal) and location of the venue of action.
31) GOVERNING LAW – It is expressly agreed that this agreement shall be governed and construed by the laws of the State of California, irrespective of the state of residency of the Guest.
Disclaimer:
Renters understand that the Owners/Property Manager are not responsible for any personal injury caused by slipping on wet pavement or surfaces, and that tenants are responsible for exercising care when surfaces are wet or slippery due to weather or used of hoses to wash down areas, and further, that the Owners/Property Manager are not responsible for any personal injury or loss or damage to tenants’ property caused directly or indirectly from foul, inclement weather conditions. Acts of God or nature, failure of heat, accidents related to fire, floods, heaters, stoves, tenants’ failure to take adequate precautions around wet areas, or any unforeseeable circumstances.
Under no circumstances will Renters or their guests hold the Owners/Property Manager responsible for any damages or claims of any kind resulting from their stay, except for intentional acts of harm.

This place was really lovely, in a quiet neighborhood with walking trails into the West end of the town and walking distance to hiking trails along the coast. The grounds are charming and everything in the house seems new. All the rooms are very cozy. I didn't see a window or door that wasn't double-glazed, so it is warm and absolutely silent at night. So often, you can see where other owners cut corners, but the whole package is just so tidy we essentially wanted for nothing. Great kitchen, with plenty to cook with. It was a little cold outside, otherwise we would have spent more time in the outdoor seating area. It's in my SAVED list. Recommended. - Daniel July 2022 |
What a great house! Many memories made, as this was our first time in Cambria. We’re already making plans on returning and hoping to rent this place again. The cottage is absolutely perfect. It was very cozy, GREAT LOCATION, loved the decor and style, and not to mention many of the modern touches. We were so happy, and the host was very responsive and helpful. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you for a memorable stay! 😍
