Turned to a special trip ****4/5-Stars
House met our needs for a family get together. Weather wasn't what we had hoped for, so the pool table was perfect to stay indoors. Turned out to be a special time as our daughter got engaged to be married!

Best location in Oceano... ****4/5-Stars
Myself, my husband and two grown up daughters with their partners spent five nights for Christmas 2018 at this rental in Oceano. It is located down a small alley at the southern edge of the town, not facing the busy beach, but in the best location possible, perpendicular to the beach, on the edge of the Oceano Dunes Nature Preserve. Oceano is well known for its RV campers and ATV Off Roading and the beach road can be busy and noisy, but our rental was peaceful with only the sound of wild birds and ocean waves. The weather over the Christmas holiday couldn't have been more perfect. Clear blue skies, bright sparkling water, glorious sunsets. We sat out on the deck covered in sunscreen, enjoying cocktails and champagne. With the sun blazing directly into the living room it can sometimes get too hot. Occasionally we would go for a walk on the dunes (access is only three houses down), play games, go for night walks along the beach... one of us even braved the freezing water. Other times we played pool in the basement, or just sat enjoying the changing light. The house is on three levels with one bathroom downstairs and one upstairs. Not ideal for six adults but we managed fine. The central heating was extremely efficient when needed. The kitchen has everything required including a large washing machine and dryer. Oceano has easy access to San Luis Obispo and the wineries of Paso Robles. We had an excellent dinner at Embers, a restaurant in nearby Arroyo Grande. But mostly we stayed at the house as it was comfortable and enjoyable. I can recommend it. One thing, as mentioned in a previous review, bring extra towels as the ones provided are few and small.

Great Beach House for Thanksgiving ****4/5-Stars
My husband and I enjoyed a quiet getaway over the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon check-in we found the house to be clean and comfortable, well stocked kitchen, nice size bedrooms and an awesome view of the dunes and beach. The location is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed early mornings on the deck with our coffee watching the activity on the beach. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal at the high top table in the main living area looking at the view.
A few notes. First, a bench on the front patio would be helpful for removing shoes to help keep sand out of the home. Second, we could never figure out the ice maker on the fridge and there wasn't an ice tray to be found anywhere. No biggie, we bought a bag of ice. Third, there are no blinds on the main living area windows and, with the sun shining on them all day, it can get HOT (there is no A/C). We used the fans from the upstairs bedrooms to help cool down the house in the afternoon. Fourth, there was a note to bring in the patio furniture cushions in bad weather but they must have been removed prior to our arrival. I could not locate them in any closet or storage space. Lastly, the screens on the upstairs bedroom sliders have rusted rollers and cannot be opened. Again, no big deal as the view is on the other side of the house.
We would definitely consider this home again for other weekend getaways and family vacations.

Peaceful, wonderful property *****5/5-Stars
We had such a wonderful stay here. We are a family of 6 and we had plenty of room. Every night and every morning was spent on the deck overlooking the ocean. The house was clean and well maintained. The only negative was an old bathroom light and fan timer. Yep, not much of a negative.
This place was very peaceful and the kids could play on the beach while we relaxed. The beds were very comfortable, too. Very close to lots of fun. We went skydiving, horseback riding and rented atvs and dune buggies. We will be back to this home next summer for sure!

This house is spectacular! Some of my family’s fondest memories are here. It’s our favorite vacation place to be, and we have returned year after year. Not only do you have an unobstructed view of the ocean, you also have an unobstructed view of the dunes and the coastal mountain range. It’s very clean and everything is maintained well. Every time we return the owners have upgraded something. This year they put in new flooring and have new furniture. The house has four levels and has a great open floor plan. The kitchen is spacious with a huge island in the middle, and all new appliances. The beds are very comfortable. The kids (and adults) love the pool table in the basement. This place is so peaceful, I would be content staying at the house all day, if my kids would let me. My ultimate dream is to leave the family home and have it all to myself. That would be HEAVEN! This house has all the modern conveniences. We have tried other rentals but nothing compares. I HIGHLY recommend this rental property.
