THE IMMEDIATE AREA
You are in Paso Robles Central! This home is just next door to a restaurant. You can practically have them hand you your breakfast in bed. It’s also just two minutes from the town square where there are dozens of wine-tasting room, restaurants, shopping and a farmer’s market every Saturday morning. Downtown there are over 12 wine tasting rooms, along with a distillery and local craft breweries. The downtown City Park offers free summer concerts from June through August every Thursday night. Pack a picnic basket, a bottle of wine or two, your beach chairs and enjoy local musicians belting out everything from Jazz to Rock and Blues.
Smart & Final is the nearest grocer, located a few blocks away on Spring Street. A few miles from town there is an Albertson’s on Niblick and Trader Joe’s is just down the road a bit on Vineyard Drive in Templeton. While at the Trader Joe’s you can pick up some fresh caught fish at Pier 46 Fish Market or head on over to the butcher, J&R Meats, for some grass-fed local meats and game. Back up in Paso you can find a few quality cheese shops, Vivant Fine Cheese and Di Raimondos Italian Market and Cheese Shop, along with some cigar shops, Boyd’s and Third Base Market & Spirits.
What goes best with wine…FOOD! Paso is packed with great restaurants. Stay a week or two so you can try all of them! Italian, French, Irish, Asian, Mexican, even Argentinean are just a few. From pizza to 5-course meals, Paso Robles has come of age in its dining options. Just a bit to the south, in Templeton, offers a few more options including McPhee’s where you can find some of the best wood-fired steaks in town.
