You just about can’t be any closer to downtown than our stunning and historic 1880’s Victorian with a brilliant rose garden. Conveniently located three blocks to the City Square on what may be the quietest downtown block in town. Park once and forget it as you have everything you need within walking distance: restaurants, wine bars, tasting rooms, boutiques, the downtown farmer’s market, cheese shops, delis, honky-tonks, gift shops and the new kid’s playground. Easy access to the highways, Spring Street, and a block from the Amtrak Station. Our charming and historic farmhouse has all the modern conveniences in today’s homes, beautifully mixed in with Friluftsliv (“open-air-living”) style and classic architectural details such as antique hardwood floors, 13-foot ceilings, arches and moldings, and featuring a massive California Room.

LIVING & ENTERTAINING (Exterior)

The centerpiece of our home is our brand-new California Room. Lovingly built in 2021 with a gorgeous all Redwood deck, Redwood trim and shelving. A 16-foot, zippered roll-up screen with privacy curtains that can be opened or closed depending on the weather or your mood. Set the vibe with Cash or Stevie on the record player or sync your phone to the Bluetooth receiver for a custom playlist. Sling your favorite cocktails across the custom built, Redwood outdoor bar, sided with reclaimed barn tin from a local ranch. Everything you need to prep your BBQ is here: refrigerator, butcher block, a six-foot rolling stainless table, and a party ice machine. Mix up Margaritas or pour some of your favorite Paso wines and brews while watching “the game” on the 32” TV mounted in the bar. After dinner, gather around the fire pit or use the single barn light hanging over a four-chair wine barrel cocktail table for a more intimate setting. This is Paso Robles; you deserve the ultimate outdoor space to relax and entertain and at the Palm House you’ll find it! The backyard entertainment area is where it’s happening; you may not want to leave.

LIVING & ENTERTAINING (interior)

A spacious living room with enough room for all to gather for board games or a favorite movie with ESPN Plus, Disney Plus, Hulu and over 80 live channels from YouTube TV. Light up the electric fireplace for a cozy game night in or a glass of wine. Just off the living room is the gourmet kitchen with all stainless-steel appliances, a large piano shaped island and all the essentials to whip up some gourmet meals to pair with your latest Paso wine acquisitions. It’s stocked with all the cooking and cocktail utensils, small appliances and staple spices necessary and, of course, a 12-cup coffeemaker. Downstairs off the kitchen you’ll find a fully decked out basement game and theater room! A full bathroom, kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator, recliners, card table and a reading nook. Stream your favorite movie or live game and settle in with the electric fireplace.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS

Featuring five bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a fold-away twin bed in the upstairs bedroom. The master bedroom, located at the front of the house, has a comfy queen bed, two side chairs and an en suite bathroom with a single vanity, a closet and a classic slipper-shaped, clawfoot tub with shower surround. Bedroom two, located in the middle of the first floor, has a queen bed and direct access to a Jack and Jill bathroom shared with bedroom three. Bedroom three, also with a queen bed, is located at the back of the house with has direct access to the Jack and Jill shared bathroom, the back patio, and a private exterior entrance. In addition, it has a mini kitchenette, and vintage style electric stove fireplace. The Jack and Jill bath has dual sinks, and a stand-up shower. Bedroom four, with a queen bed, is located upstairs and has a separate loft with two side chairs. A twin rollaway bed is also available in this suite and can be set up in the loft. The final and fifth bedroom is in the Cottage (Additional Dwelling Unit) in the backyard. This unit features a queen bed, a kitchenette, dining area and its own bathroom with a single vanity, water closet and stand-up shower. Three additional bathrooms are also available…a full bath with a single vanity and stand-up shower off the hallway on the main floor, a full bath with a single sink and stand-up shower in the basement and a half bath off the back patio, in the perfect location for all guests in the entertainment areas to access.

GUEST AMENITIES

We provide personal amenities including soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, paper products, kitchen necessities such as dish soap and trash bags. There are plenty of linens and bath towels. Laundry facilities and detergent included in the laundry area. The kitchen is also stocked with the essential stapes: olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and spices.

THE IMMEDIATE AREA

You are in Paso Robles Central! This home is just 3 blocks from the town square where there are dozens of wine tasting room, restaurants, shopping and a farmer’s market every Saturday morning. Downtown there are over 12 wine tasting rooms, along with a distillery and local craft breweries. The downtown City Park offers free summer concerts from June through August every Thursday night. Pack a picnic basket, a bottle of wine or two, your beach chairs and enjoy local musicians belting out everything from Jazz to Rock and Blues. There’s also a brand new kid’s playground with lots of swings, jungle gyms and rope climbing for the kiddos. It’s also just a few more blocks from the new Paso Market Walk where you can find all sort of gastronomical delights.

PROVISIONS

Albertsons is the nearest grocer, a short drive on Niblick Rd. Gregor’s is nearby for the quick essentials. Trader Joe’s is just down the road a bit on Vineyard Drive in Templeton. While in Templeton head on over to the butcher, J&R Meats, for some grass-fed local meats and game. Back at the house, you can find a few quality cheese shops, Vivant Fine Cheese (a block away), The Vreamery (vegan cheese), and Di Raimondos Italian Market and Cheese Shop. For local wines, be sure to stop in to the Paso Robles Wine Merchant at the new Market Walk and say hello to Justin and Julie!

RESTAURANTS

What goes best with wine…FOOD! Paso is packed with great restaurants. Stay a week or two so you can try all of them! Italian, French, Irish, Asian, Mexican, even Argentinean are just a few. From pizza to 5-course meals, Paso Robles has come of age in its dining options. Some of our favorites in Paso Robles include The Alchemist’s Garden, Momotaro Ramen, Della’s Wood Fired Pizza, and Les Petites Canailles.

ACTIVITIES

Wine, beer and spirits tasting, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, water park, jeep rides, ziplining, Farmer’s Markets, concerts in the park, spas, beaches, hot springs, Morro Bay, Hearst Castle, Cambria…take your pick. There are endless options to play until your heart’s content. And don’t miss Paso latest attraction, Sensorio. Designed by artist, Bruce Munro, the “Field of Light” exhibition is a 15-acre walk-through experience through over 58,000 stemmed spheres.
