About the Property
This 2000 sf, 2BR, 1.5BA spacious, 2-story barn is the perfect place to escape to the country and unwind! Surrounded by vines and farmlands, it’s located in Templeton's eastside El Pomar area. This newly updated barn has easy access to all of Paso Robles Wine Country's top wineries. Situated near Wild Horse Winery & Vineyards, Clesi Wines and Bella Luna Winery, it’s right off the 101 and just 3 minutes to Trader Joe's and downtown Templeton.
The open concept living space consumes the entire first floor. The massive kitchen area has more counter space than most homes! The living room area has a 55” TV, a wood-burning stove and lounge seating for 4. Open to the living room and kitchen, the dining area has a solid wood table with seating for 8. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials to whip up some gourmet meals to pair with your latest Paso Wine acquisitions. A full-sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven and plenty of dishware add to the complement of kitchen gear.
Brand new heating and air conditioning units have been installed as of May 2021. One unit on each floor.
A full bath downstairs, complete with a classic clawfoot, tub make it a real farmhouse experience.
Wake up to the crisp country air, while sipping on a cup of coffee. Or sip and savor a Paso blend to a beautiful sunset. Pick some fresh veggies from the seasonal garden or ask for some fresh eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast. Hmm mm good!
You could not be in a better, more central and convenient location to hit up some of Paso's most prestigious wineries on the Eastside. You are just 3 minutes to downtown Templeton, 7 minutes to downtown Paso and 30 minutes to other Central Coast destinations: Cambria, Pismo Beach, and downtown San Luis Obispo. There is easy access to 101, which makes your day trips a breeze.
Trader Joe's is 2 miles away along with J & R Meats which offers local grass-fed beefs and other meats. In the same shopping plaza is Pier 46, the area's top fish market and restaurant. In downtown Templeton is Nature's Touch Nursery & Harvest, a fully-organic grocery store with provisions from local farmers. Larger grocery stores include Albertson's and Food For Less, both about 7 miles in either direction off the 101.
For a small town, Templeton provides lots of eating out options. McPhee's is top on the list and perfect for that special occasion. Ian (McPhee) cooks up fantastic farm-to-table fare. Other local flavor includes AJ Spurs (Western flavor) and Jack's (wood-fired cooked burgers, salads and lots of TVs for viewing sports). Enjoy a glass of wine and an appetizer or cheese platter at 15 Degrees Wine Bar before or after dinner. To start your day, you can't go wrong with Joe's for an All-American breakfast or The Kitchen for a bit more gourmet breakfast or lunch delicacies.
After you've exhausted the Templeton restaurants, the Paso restaurants are also outstanding. What's your pleasure: Italian, Irish, French, Mexican, Asian, Argentinean, Organic or Seafood? Paso has them all and more. There's even a new Speak Easy in town, called Eleven Twenty-Two. You're in wine and foodie heaven.
There is so much to do on the Central Coast. Of course there is wine tasting and wine events. But once the taste buds need a break, there are so many other activities nearby. Golf anyone? Paso Robles Golf Course is a great course for the novice. The more serious golfer might try Hunter Ranch. There are dozen other courses around the area as well. While the guys are golfing there are plenty of spas for the ladies for a day of beauty treatments. Take in a concert at the Vina Robles Amphitheater. There is not a bad seat in the gorgeous 2500 seat music venue. For the more adventurous types, there are plenty of hiking trails and a zip line to amp up the adrenaline.
Venture out to the local towns. Go antiquing in Cambria. Visit the Elephant Seals and Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Collect shells on Moonstone Beach. Drive an ATV on the beach at the Oceano Dunes. Check out the fantastic Farmer's Markets - Saturdays in downtown Templeton and Thursday nights in San Luis Obispo. Days of endless fun awaits you on the Central Coast.

This place was by far one of the best place we rented, we felt like at home as soon as we stepped in, the owner had fresh eggs and a bottle of wine for us in the fridge once we arrived. The AC was on and the place was already cool down. It was bigger that described on the description we were surprised to see two bunk beds and not one, the beds where very comfortable. The owner had a farm which was great with our two toddlers, we were able to walk around the farm and pet the animals, Lucky the cat was a big hit with my two year old. We rented this place to visit San Luis Obispo and surrounding, we were 30 minutes from the main things we wanted to see but it was totally worth it rather then getting a more busy spot on the coast directly. Best rental ever! Thank you for your hospitality.

We were a group of 5 people and it was comfortable for all of us. The host was friendly and responded back when we requested for some additional information. The place was clean and well maintained.

Love how tastefully the barn was converted to a vacation home. Simple and elegant. Beds and comforters are one of the best we had in a vacation home. The owner provided fresh eggs for breakfast. We had a memorable trip.

“This Airbnb is so cute!! My friends, a group of 6, and I had a wonderful stay at the bnb. We were originally debating between a couple of stays in Paso but this barn was the perfect choice. It’s around 10 mins away from downtown Paso Robles and is located on a ranch with another house. Personally I loved that it had a main property nearby because it felt safe and private. I loved waking up to all the animals around and enjoying the peacefulness of the ranch. My group thought the Airbnb had a great open floor plan and we loved the beds!!! Some of us still joke about how those beds were literally like sleeping on clouds. The barn aesthetic was also perfect inside. We did find it a little difficult to use the shower as it was either too hot or too cold, but the barn itself was very nice besides that. Staying in April meant ideal weather so we weren’t too cold or too hot. There were fans and heaters all around the Airbnb in case we needed it. The hosts also left a binder with lots of information in it which was very helpful! Overall, this stay is worth the money and perfect for groups which need more space than usual. 10/10!”

“Nice, quiet, clean, spacious accommodations. The hosts are very kind as well brought us an extra bottle of wine”

“We absolutely LOVED this place!! It was the perfect getaway for the four of us, such an ideal space to spend quality family time indoors and outdoors. The owners, Cameron and Suzy, were extra nice and helpful — respecting our privacy but also willing to help out whenever we had a question. Farm fresh eggs, delicious wine from a neighboring winery, and an opportunity to feed their goats — we loved our stay so much we ended up extending our stay! The kitchen is very well stocked with quality cookware and dish ware — even the wine glasses were of good quality. We love home-cooked meals, so we appreciated the spacious kitchen and the sparkling clean gas grill. The information binder has everything you need, but like I said, Cameron and Suzy were more than happy to help if we ever had a question. There’s a lot to do nearby, what with an adorable zoo 10 minutes away with red pandas, and Tin City, where you can taste wines, beers, and ciders and more in one location. And I know Firestone Brewery is right there too — we never went but we love their beers. We hope we can return again in the near future to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and so much more!”

Gorgeous stay at the barn! Suzy and Cameron are wonderful hosts. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, they were so kind keeping me stocked with everything from firewood to fresh eggs from their hens. Really special spot. This was a solo trip but I can imagine this place being a great family holiday. Well stocked kitchen and thoughtful furnishing.

Great relaxing location. Plenty of room to sleep 6-8 people and nice amenities like a large tub and wood stove. Host always responded quickly when needed.
We enjoyed our stay in the chic barn. It was warm and comfortable for a winter stay. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this airb&b.
Best Barn ever! We'll be back next year.
- Cristy T
We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend to others. The house was very comfortable and clean, and on a beautiful property close to several wineries. The hosts also provided lots of local recommendations and even some farm fresh eggs from their chickens! I hope to get a chance to stay with them in the future

Kathleen’s place is charming! Everything was so clean and complete with so many small touches. The location is perfect, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the space is clearly loved. We had a wonderful weekend and definitely want to stay at Kathleen’s in the future!
This place is amazing! The barn has a great view and the inside is exactly as pictured. You won’t regret it. We loved the look of the barn and the inside! It was gorgeous. The complementary wine was a great touch. If you prefer more privacy you may want to reconsider because the owners are right next door to you. However, they respect your privacy. Just be respectful in return. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Kathleen did a great job with this place. Thank you!

Awesome barn and space! My husband and I prepared for our wedding here in Paso Robles and this space was perfect for some wedding prep and hang out time with close friends. The look out deck was beautiful and perfect to have a cup of coffee on in the morning. Super comfortable beds and the large king size bunks were great for guests. The kitchen had everything we needed and more than enough counter space! Such a perfect spot, would definitely come back again!
- Stacia Q
Great location, we loved the chickens and the horse in the front yard.
- Kelly S
4 friends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway! We truly loved the barn, and it was a very nice stay! The barn got quite warm, but the fans help it cool down a bit. The kitchen had a lot of useful utensils and plates so we could eat in. It’s in a nice area that’s only 30 minutes away from the beaches. The beds are super comfy, and the portable air conditioning in the bedroom was a life saver! They gave a lot of helpful tips and information on what was near the area. We really enjoyed our stay, and it was very comfortable!

This little barn was just what my girls and I needed to have; a relaxing and fun weekend drinking wine and watching the beautiful sunsets! The goats and chickens were so cool! Close to great food, wineries, beautiful scenic drives, shopping and not too far from the beach! All the beds were so comfy...like sleeping on clouds!!
- Kimberly C
This barn is amazing! Super clean and with a lot of style. The location is perfect, close to groceries store and Templeton downtown. The farm and the owners are really friendly, she showed us how to pick up our own eggs, our daughter had a great time watching the chickens and goats!
This place is a gem if you’re looking for lots of open space for you and your family to enjoy while getting away from the city. Lots of kitchen countertop space to prepare meals. Upstairs would be fun for a family or families with kids. Definitely planning to come back!
- Robert M
The barn was very stylish, with a nice porch view of the next door vineyard. We could even walk to the neighboring wineries and have a wine tasting. Even though the weekend was super hot, the barn was cool-ish inside. The sleeping arrangements worked nicely and the amenities were as needed.
- Jacob S
The surroundings were so serene and peaceful, the house perfectly charming and comfortable, the host wonderful, and fresh from the chicken coop eggs were delicious. All just added to the perfect weekend with my darling niece! We plan on a return trip!
- Eileen A
We had a great time. Big clean house, vegetable garden. Nice to just walk around, also lots of stuff to see in the area.
- Tom C
If you are looking for a get-away from city life (and we were), this is the place for you. Vineyards and tasting rooms abound, perched atop a pretty hill overlooking an attractive valley. Take note, if your visit is during the hot months, this location does not have central air and can get hot.
- Peter D
Great spot! The place was perfect for my family of 3 and our son (4 years old) loved the chickens and goats.
- James L
Kathleen was a great host. She responded quickly and provided a great experience. The open floor layout of the first and second floors are excellent for mingling and being sociable. Quick access gate entry. It’s close to various wineries and to Morro Bay. I would highly recommend.
