About the Property
This 2000 sf, 2BR, 1.5BA spacious, 2-story barn is the perfect place to escape to the country and unwind! Surrounded by vines and farmlands, it’s located in Templeton's eastside El Pomar area. This newly updated barn has easy access to all of Paso Robles Wine Country's top wineries. Situated near Wild Horse Winery & Vineyards, Clesi Wines and Bella Luna Winery, it’s right off the 101 and just 3 minutes to Trader Joe's and downtown Templeton.
Located on the 2nd floor, the master has a King bed with a sitting area and French door access to the deck with views of vineyards. The other “bedroom” is the rest of the entire 2nd floor. It has 2 Bunk cubbies with King beds on the bottom and Twin beds on the top. The cubbies are open to the upstairs living room that has a 55” TV and large sectional that can seat up to 8. A half bath upstairs lets you take care of business in the middle of the night.
The open concept living space consumes the entire first floor. The massive kitchen area has more counter space than most homes! The living room area has a 55” TV, a wood-burning stove and lounge seating for 4. Open to the living room and kitchen, the dining area has a solid wood table with seating for 8. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials to whip up some gourmet meals to pair with your latest Paso Wine acquisitions. A full-sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven and plenty of dishware add to the complement of kitchen gear.
Central heat and portable air conditioning, along with a large ceiling fans in the 2nd story keep you comfortable year round.
A full bath downstairs, complete with a classic clawfoot, tub make it a real farmhouse experience.
Wake up to the crisp country air, while sipping on a cup of coffee. Or sip and savor a Paso blend to a beautiful sunset. Pick some fresh veggies from the seasonal garden or ask for some fresh eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast. Hmm mm good!
You could not be in a better, more central and convenient location to hit up some of Paso's most prestigious wineries on the Eastside. You are just 3 minutes to downtown Templeton, 7 minutes to downtown Paso and 30 minutes to other Central Coast destinations: Cambria, Pismo Beach, and downtown San Luis Obispo. There is easy access to 101, which makes your day trips a breeze.
Trader Joe's is 2 miles away along with J & R Meats which offers local grass-fed beefs and other meats. In the same shopping plaza is Pier 46, the area's top fish market and restaurant. In downtown Templeton is Nature's Touch Nursery & Harvest, a fully-organic grocery store with provisions from local farmers. Larger grocery stores include Albertson's and Food For Less, both about 7 miles in either direction off the 101.
For a small town, Templeton provides lots of eating out options. McPhee's is top on the list and perfect for that special occasion. Ian (McPhee) cooks up fantastic farm-to-table fare. Other local flavor includes AJ Spurs (Western flavor) and Jack's (wood-fired cooked burgers, salads and lots of TVs for viewing sports). Enjoy a glass of wine and an appetizer or cheese platter at 15 Degrees Wine Bar before or after dinner. To start your day, you can't go wrong with Joe's for an All-American breakfast or The Kitchen for a bit more gourmet breakfast or lunch delicacies.
After you've exhausted the Templeton restaurants, the Paso restaurants are also outstanding. What's your pleasure: Italian, Irish, French, Mexican, Asian, Argentinean, Organic or Seafood? Paso has them all and more. There's even a new Speak Easy in town, called Eleven Twenty-Two. You're in wine and foodie heaven.
There is so much to do on the Central Coast. Of course there is wine tasting and wine events. But once the taste buds need a break, there are so many other activities nearby. Golf anyone? Paso Robles Golf Course is a great course for the novice. The more serious golfer might try Hunter Ranch. There are dozen other courses around the area as well. While the guys are golfing there are plenty of spas for the ladies for a day of beauty treatments. Take in a concert at the Vina Robles Amphitheater. There is not a bad seat in the gorgeous 2500 seat music venue. For the more adventurous types, there are plenty of hiking trails and a zip line to amp up the adrenaline.
Venture out to the local towns. Go antiquing in Cambria. Visit the Elephant Seals and Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Collect shells on Moonstone Beach. Drive an ATV on the beach at the Oceano Dunes. Check out the fantastic Farmer's Markets - Saturdays in downtown Templeton and Thursday nights in San Luis Obispo. Days of endless fun awaits you on the Central Coast.

This place is amazing! The barn has a great view and the inside is exactly as pictured. You won’t regret it. We loved the look of the barn and the inside! It was gorgeous. The complementary wine was a great touch. If you prefer more privacy you may want to reconsider because the owners are right next door to you. However, they respect your privacy. Just be respectful in return. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Kathleen did a great job with this place. Thank you!

Awesome barn and space! My husband and I prepared for our wedding here in Paso Robles and this space was perfect for some wedding prep and hang out time with close friends. The look out deck was beautiful and perfect to have a cup of coffee on in the morning. Super comfortable beds and the large king size bunks were great for guests. The kitchen had everything we needed and more than enough counter space! Such a perfect spot, would definitely come back again!

Great location, we loved the chickens and the horse in the front yard.

4 friends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway! We truly loved the barn, and it was a very nice stay! The barn got quite warm, but the fans help it cool down a bit. The kitchen had a lot of useful utensils and plates so we could eat in. It’s in a nice area that’s only 30 minutes away from the beaches. The beds are super comfy, and the portable air conditioning in the bedroom was a life saver! They gave a lot of helpful tips and information on what was near the area. We really enjoyed our stay, and it was very comfortable!

This little barn was just what my girls and I needed to have; a relaxing and fun weekend drinking wine and watching the beautiful sunsets! The goats and chickens were so cool! Close to great food, wineries, beautiful scenic drives, shopping and not too far from the beach! All the beds were so comfy...like sleeping on clouds!!

This barn is amazing! Super clean and with a lot of style. The location is perfect, close to groceries store and Templeton downtown. The farm and the owners are really friendly, she showed us how to pick up our own eggs, our daughter had a great time watching the chickens and goats!
This place is a gem if you’re looking for lots of open space for you and your family to enjoy while getting away from the city. Lots of kitchen countertop space to prepare meals. Upstairs would be fun for a family or families with kids. Definitely planning to come back!

The barn was very stylish, with a nice porch view of the next door vineyard. We could even walk to the neighboring wineries and have a wine tasting. Even though the weekend was super hot, the barn was cool-ish inside. The sleeping arrangements worked nicely and the amenities were as needed.

The surroundings were so serene and peaceful, the house perfectly charming and comfortable, the host wonderful, and fresh from the chicken coop eggs were delicious. All just added to the perfect weekend with my darling niece! We plan on a return trip!

We had a great time. Big clean house, vegetable garden. Nice to just walk around, also lots of stuff to see in the area.

If you are looking for a get-away from city life (and we were), this is the place for you. Vineyards and tasting rooms abound, perched atop a pretty hill overlooking an attractive valley. Take note, if your visit is during the hot months, this location does not have central air and can get hot.

Great spot! The place was perfect for my family of 3 and our son (4 years old) loved the chickens and goats.

Kathleen was a great host. She responded quickly and provided a great experience. The open floor layout of the first and second floors are excellent for mingling and being sociable. Quick access gate entry. It’s close to various wineries and to Morro Bay. I would highly recommend.

If you are looking for a farming life style, this is the place to be. You will be welcomed by goats, cows, birds and chicken. The barn is a peaceful place in nature. The beds are SUPER comfy. In Templeton, you will find a Trader Joe's and an amazing meat shop next door. The cute little town of Paso Robles is a 15 minutes ride, you can go to the restaurant or have a drink there. This place is the perfect place to disconnect from the city.

What a great experience! This stay is perfect for small groups as it's got enough space to accommodate everyone, yet has such a sweet family vibe. The place is so clean and the beds are so comfortable! I highly recommend this place if you want to spend some quality time with friends or family!

The beds were SO COMFY! Such a peaceful setting. The house was very clean and very well decorated. We loved our stay.

I would highly recommend this property. It was lovely and very clean! Suzy and Cam were very kind and accommodating. They offered airbeds for my sons, left us a bottle of wine and gave us fresh eggs. My daughter graduated from Cal Poly on Saturday and approximately 15 people came down from the Bay Area. We gathered here for a family celebration that will long be remembered. Cam and Suzy brought us extra tables/chairs and offered their barbecue and fire pit. We took them up on the offer Cam told us where local markets were. They took my niece and her little ones to visit the chickens and to feed the goats. The view is to die for and made for some great pics! They even had games for us to play... Really, our stay couldn’t have been more perfect.
It was everything I hoped it would be for our family of four weekend get away. It was great to hang out with Suzy & Cameron and getting to know them during our wine tasting just across the street. Their boys who we met later that night were very sweet and helpful in showing my girls around, they really enjoyed the goats. It was quite a hot weekend during our visit, but it was fine considering we had already considered driving to the coast to hang out during the day. Thanks for the fans & swamp cooler, it helped. I wish I had more time to check out the other wineries so close by.... guess I'll have to come back. 🙂
Cannot say enough great things about this place. First of all, Suzy, Cameron and the rest of the family are phenomenal hosts. We spent a good hour and a half with them drinking wine, hitting in the batting cage and chatting. They are some of the nicest people we've met in all our Airbnb experiences and are worth the stay alone. As if their hospitality wasn't enough, their barn-turned-guesthouse is incredible. Spacious, clean, rustic with a modern twist and comfortable. We had plenty of room and enjoyed every minute there. Having the chickens and goats nearby was an added plus! This place is close to charming Templeton as well as all the wineries and even the coast. We will definitely be coming here next time we're up in the central coast and wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone.
A fantastic place to stay! We were in town for a Cal Poly graduation. That evening we hosted a large family dinner. This place was perfect for us. Lots of room for everyone to move around in. The kitchen was perfect for all my cooking needs. Cameron and Suzy even brought over tables and chairs for our guests! They greeted us upon arrival. Showed us around. The farm is so quiet, relaxing and pleasing to the senses. Even though the temperature was quite warm, the house closes up in the morning and stayed quite pleasant until it cooled down at night and we opened everything back up. The bed upstairs was like sleeping on a cloud. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, overlooking winery and the beautiful rolling hills of the Central Coast. We can't say enough nice things about our stay here. All the comforts of home, hospitable hosts, beautiful area. We will be back soon, we hope!
My little family had a wonderful time staying in the guest barn recently. Our 18 month old loved stepping outside to see the chickens, and the fresh eggs for breakfast were an added bonus. The place is very spacious, and even in the heat of summer stays pretty cool during the day. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there is a grill right outside. Trader Joe's and an excellent butcher shop are just a few miles away, and there are a few wineries within walking distance from the property. The barn is a great home base to explore the area, and even a drive to the coast only takes about 30 minutes. My husband loved feeding the goats, and we can't wait to come back for another stay!
